Privacy Policy

Last updated October 5, 2026

We keep this simple because the product is simple. Your artwork stays on your device, and we collect only what we need to run your account.

Your artwork stays with you

When you upload a piece of art to simplyplaced, it is processed in your own browser. We don't upload it to our servers and we don't keep a copy. The mockups you create are generated on your device, and they exist only where you save them.

What we collect

  • Account details. If you sign in, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address with us. We use it to identify your account and to email you your sign-in code.
  • Plan and usage. Which plan you're on, how many mockups you've exported this month, and when your month started. We use this to apply your monthly limit and to decide whether an export carries a watermark.
  • Billing. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive a customer ID and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Feedback you send. If you use Submit feedback, we keep your message, the name you optionally add, and which screen you were on.
  • Basic technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider sees things such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs when you visit.

You can use simplyplaced without signing in. In that case we don't collect your email or any account details, and your exports carry a watermark.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember your light or dark preference. Both are needed for the site to work the way you expect. We don't use advertising cookies or sell your data.

Who we share it with

We use a few trusted services to run simplyplaced. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Supabase stores accounts and usage and handles sign-in.
  • Vercel hosts the site.
  • Stripe processes subscription payments.
  • Google provides “Sign in with Google” and delivers our sign-in code emails.
  • GitHub stores the feedback you send us.

We don't sell your information. We may disclose it if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details and usage for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, along with your usage, and we ask Stripe to close any related billing records where the law allows. Feedback messages may be kept so we can keep improving the product.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time. To do that, use the Submit feedback button inside the app. If you subscribe, you can also manage or cancel your subscription yourself from the account menu.

Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We'll honor them. Just ask.

Children

simplyplaced isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We may later add simple, privacy-respecting usage statistics, such as which rooms are popular, and we'll update this policy before we do.
